Gepart Hydro's new achievement: 4 MW Upper Lohere successfully operating

Kathmandu - Dailekh, Karnali Province. The Upper Lohore Hydropower Project, with an installed capacity of 4 megawatts, has officially come into operation in Dailekh district of Karnali Province.

The project’s electromechanical equipment and technical oversight were provided by Gepart Hydro, an international company based in Austria.

Utilizing a run-of-river system, the project is considered eco-friendly, as it operates using the river's natural flow without the need for large-scale reservoirs. The turbines, generators, and control systems used in the facility are all designed and manufactured following European quality standards.

According to Rajkishore Yadav, Country Director of Gopart Hydro Nepal, “The Upper Lohore project features a highly reliable and modern technology setup. Its silent and consistent operation will contribute positively to both the local environment and the surrounding communities.”

Gopart Hydro has successfully commissioned the project by providing cutting-edge, eco-conscious equipment sourced from Austria, India, Turkey, and Croatia.

The power generated from this facility will be integrated into Nepal’s national grid, helping to improve electricity supply across Karnali Province, including the Dailekh region.
