Proposals sought to build 365 MW hydropower project

Kathmandu - The Department of Electricity Development (DoED) has officially invited letters of intent from qualified developers to undertake hydropower projects under the Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model.

The invitation includes a total of eight projects with a combined generation capacity of 365.42 megawatts.


Projects Open for Proposal

The department is seeking expressions of interest for the following hydropower projects:

  • Beni Kaligandaki – 50.5 MW

  • Dudhkoshi-4 – 47 MW

  • Inkhu Khola – 21.4 MW

  • Humla Karnali – 61.02 MW

  • Upper Kaligandaki – 65 MW

  • Loti Karnali – 49.5 MW

  • Lower Hongu – 30.2 MW

  • Sankhuwa Khola-1 – 40.8 MW


🗓️ Proposal Deadline and Evaluation Criteria

  • Deadline for submission: 15th Jestha, 2082 B.S.

  • Proposals will be assessed based on:

    • Technical expertise

    • Financial capability

    • Overall project concept
