Kathmandu - Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited is currently in the process of securing a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for its 29.50 MW combined hydropower projects. The company has formally submitted a request to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) after receiving generation licenses from the Department of Electricity Development.
The company is pursuing the PPA for two projects:
Upper Kabeli-2 Hydropower Project (15 MW)
Budumkhola Hydropower Project (14.50 MW)
Arun Valley Hydropower already operates the following completed projects:
Kabeli B-1 Cascade Hydropower Project (9.94 MW)
Piluwa Khola Hydropower Project (3 MW)
According to the company, these plants are generating electricity smoothly and meeting expectations.
By the end of the third quarter of the fiscal year 2081/82, the company reported earning Rs 197.43 million from electricity sales.
