Two 29.50 MW projects in Arun Valley in PPA phase

Kathmandu - Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited is currently in the process of securing a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for its 29.50 MW combined hydropower projects. The company has formally submitted a request to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) after receiving generation licenses from the Department of Electricity Development.

The company is pursuing the PPA for two projects:

  • Upper Kabeli-2 Hydropower Project (15 MW)

  • Budumkhola Hydropower Project (14.50 MW)


Ongoing Power Generation Projects

Arun Valley Hydropower already operates the following completed projects:

  • Kabeli B-1 Cascade Hydropower Project (9.94 MW)

  • Piluwa Khola Hydropower Project (3 MW)

According to the company, these plants are generating electricity smoothly and meeting expectations.


💰 Revenue Update

By the end of the third quarter of the fiscal year 2081/82, the company reported earning Rs 197.43 million from electricity sales.
